Renovation of Tullikamari Complete – Opening to the Public at the End of October

The renovation of Tullikamari is finished, and Tampere’s most iconic venue returned to Tampereen Kulttuurikamari Oy on September 1. The venue will reopen to the public at the end of October, when the Tampere Jazz Happening takes over both Pakkahuone and Klubi from October 29 to November 1, 2026.

Having served as a key event space in Tampere for over 30 years, Tullikamari has received important upgrades that keep it working smoothly as a shared meeting place for local residents in the future. The renovation of the historic building, started by the City of Tampere in February 2025, was completed on August 31, 2026. Read more in the city’s news article (only in Finnish).

Preserved History, Modern Technology, and Better Accessibility

Tullikamari wants to give everyone the chance to enjoy concerts, club nights, and other events. Because of this, one of the main goals of the project was to upgrade the venue to meet current safety, event, and accessibility standards. Tullikamari also received a new basement floor and a new roof, alongside major updates to the heating, ventilation, and electrical systems.

Another key focus of the renovation was to protect and preserve Tullikamari’s valuable historical features. Tampere’s most famous venue warmly welcomes both artists and audiences back when the doors open at the end of October.

Autumn Concert Highlights

The first event at the updated Tullikamari will be the Tampere Jazz Happening from October 29 to November 1, 2026. This internationally respected jazz festival returns to its roots in a building that has played a big role in the event’s history for decades. You can check out the festival’s newly published program here.

In November, the stages of the renewed Tullikamari will host pop sensation OLGA, Finnish rap legend Asa, singer-songwriter Olavi Uusivirta, and heavy music pioneers Stam1na celebrating their 30th anniversary with Stoned Statues as their opening act.

Along with live gigs, Tampere’s nightlife is making a long-awaited return as Klubi launches its own nightclub events again in November. At Klubi’s opening Megaparty, top local DJs and VJs will bring great music to the brand-new dance floor. Popular club nights Big Pop, Hang the DJ, and Meininkidisko—which took place at sister venue Tavara-asema during the renovation—are now returning to their home stage at Klubi.

The event calendar is updated constantly. Tickets for all autumn gigs are available on Tiketti. You can also explore the autumn program of our atmospheric sister venue Tavara-asema here!
