The Abbey is an progressive doom metal band with a history in bands such as Cemetary Skyline, Sentenced, Shape of Despair and Hexvessel. The band has released its Word of Sin album via Season of Mist in 2023 and has toured both Finland and Europe. At the end of the year, The Abbey will spend a month in Europe, performing at the Belgian Desertfest festival, among others. In the summer of 2024, the band was also seen at Tuska.
